(2014) "Empress" Victoria - India, 1877 Silver One Rupee Coin - Black & White Edition - Illustration No.82 Hand Drawn in Graphite on 96lb. Bristol Thick Board Sheet Stock - Pencils used: 4h, h, b, 5b - Drawing time: 45 Hours to complete.

This is the 5th Coin in my "Coin Series" and the first foreign coin. Originally done in Graphite, this coin was Tinted Silver using Adobe Photodeluxe

She started the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death. From 01 May 1876, she used the additional title of Empress of India. She inherited the throne at the age of 18. Her reign of 63 years and 7 months, which is longer than that of any other British monarch and the longest of any female monarch in history, is known as the Victorian era.
