(2015) Goddess of Gaul - Gallic Warrior "French Gallia Medallion" - (Deep Relief Obverse) - Illustration No.106 drawn in Graphite on 96lb. Bristol thick sheet stock. Pencils used (4h, 3h, 2h, h, b, 5b, 6b, 8b). Drawing time 90 Hours.
Rare French medallion GALLIA (1910-1912) - France. Cr�ateur : F. Vernon (1858-1912) M�tal : Silver Avers : GALLIA Signature : F. Vernon Revers : Menhir + Aurore "EXIIT AD COELUM RAMIS FELICIBUS ARBOS" Diam�tre : 28 mm - Epaisseur : 3 mm Poids : 10 gr.
The front of the pendant shows the profile of a Gallic warrior, with the words "Gallia" ("Gallia" was the goddess of Gaul). During the Roman era, Gaul was a part of Western Europe comprising present day Northern Italy, France, Belgium, Western Switzerland and parts of the Netherlands and Germany.
