Jeanne d'Arc, the daughter of a wealthy peasant from Domremy in Lorraine, was Born on January 6th 1412. At 13, she heard "voices" telling her to go to the French king and the English to expel from France. No one knows how, but Jeanne d'Arc convinced Charles VII of her divine destiny. She was given his full support and went with the French army to Orleans.
On the 8th of May 1429, they freed the city. This victory was considered strategically important by the people as a "sign of God's provision" and Jeanne d'Arc won enormous popularity. She went back to Charles VII, and convinced him to undertake the dangerous journey to Reims. According to an ancient traditio...
